For years, after moving into the location, the owner of this shop had seen things move on their own, and had heard unexplained
noises and voices. The owner finally decided to ask Thin Veil Investigators to come to the store and conduct an investigation.

Summary:
We have had the pleasure of investigating this building on numerous occasions, discovering a number of different spirits at each exploration,
along with multiple interviews with spirits who stay on a daily basis.  We have captured many interesting pictures of different anomalies in this
building, orbs, apparitions and mists, as well as acquiring fascinating EVP.

Location History and Status:
The State of Nevada needed offices to house Parole and Probation. A U-shaped structure was built in the 1950s to accommodate the
employees, and was used until the mid 1980s when larger offices were then needed.  Before this, this area was ranch land.  This land, which is a
smaller valley inside Eagle Valley, used to have many creeks and streams running through it.  Before it was ranch land, it was a gathering spot
for the native tribes to celebrate water rituals.

Now the home of Sew ‘n Sew, this section of the building complex has quite a bit of paranormal activity in it.

Some of our finds:
One established spectral resident is of a woman who goes by the name of Franny. Customers, as well as employees, have seen, heard, or been
touched by her. She's quite the flamboyant dresser; she loves to drape herself in all kinds of materials and colors, feather boas, sequins and
glittered fabrics. Many customers have asked the owner, “Just who the lady is in the entry hall wearing garish clothing?” That would be Franny.
Over multiple investigations, Franny has disclosed that she died in a car accident near Sew ‘n Sew, but we haven’t been able to obtain further
information about her or the accident.

There is a black and white cat that belonged to the previous owner of Sew ‘n Sew.  The cat stayed in the shop all day and night   it was her
home. She was a very friendly cat, but as time passed, she grew old and died. She remains as the shop mascot, however, as customers and
employees alike have seen a spirit cat walking about.  In the summer of 2008, the hallways of the store were being painted.  One man cleaned
his brushes in the bathroom sink.  An hour after he left, the store owner called to tell TVI that there were paw prints on the sink cabinet.  We
hurried to the shop to take photos of the phantom markings.

In Sew ‘n Sew’s “wedding room” (where wedding dresses are fitted and adjusted, away from the more open public rooms), there is a curious
phenomenon.  In this fitting room, there is some kind of energy streaming forth from the floor, into the room, and arcing away through the ceiling,
heading south out of the building.  Customers, and a few members of TVI, have seen this energy as an arc of “gold or sparkling light.”  Many
have said that they could feel this energy “ray,” that there is a current, or flow to the energy, and with descriptions including that it felt “smooth”,
and “cooler than room temperature, but not cold.”  We have investigated Sew ‘n Sew many times, and it seems that this energy is strongest at All
Hallows Eve, when the veil between the physical and spirit worlds is the thinnest.  It is because of this, that we have dubbed this energy the “veil
ray.”  Unfortunately, sensing or detecting this energy seems almost sporadic or hit and miss.  It has been felt on numerous occasions, but without
any apparent pattern or circumstance dictating when it will be detectable.  We have not, however, been able to capture this phenomenon on
audio, or video, so it is possible that it is strictly psychic or supernatural in nature.

Another psychic (or paranormal if you prefer) phenomena is on the far south side of the store (inside the maze of halls and doors).  There is a
hallway ending at a door which opens to the outside. The corridor itself is long and narrow, and the entire passageway feels close, and gives you
a sense of foreboding.  The door at the end of this hallway seems to be the focus of the dark and angry energies.  There is a presence in this
hallway and door, which sits quietly and fumes.  We call it the "Entity" as we believe it is not a human spirit at all.  Contact with this entity is strictly
one-way, as it has consistently refused any attempts at conversation.  We believe it is some type of nature spirit who presents its disdain for the
building that sits atop the ground that it resides in.
In any case, the hallway is not a favored place for anyone who has worked at or visited this shop; those who need to traverse it this hallway do so
quickly!

It is interesting to note that there is a spirit here at Sew ‘n Sew who loves classical music.  The shop has a TV and a CD player for the employee’s
entertainment.  Most times the player is set to a CD of oldies music, although many different kinds of music CDs are set into the exchanger.
On numerous occasions, when the owner has arrived in the morning, the player is on, playing classical music.  She didn't remember leaving it on
the previous night, nor did any of her employees leave for the day without switching it off.  There are also many times while a movie is being
played on the TV, classical music tunes suddenly fill the air.  It appears that if the spirit doesn't like what movie is being played, it will turn on its
favorite music.

The TVI Perspective:
The cat, and the paw prints illustrate that even animals have spirit energies that can interact on the physical plane.  This is a bit unusual for us at
Thin Veil to experience, as most animal energies we have encountered are only sensed, or “captured” as EVP.

Franny, and CD player, bring attention to the continuation of a spirit’s earthly life habits, culture, upbringing, interests or tastes.  Though we have
encountered this behavior, ghosts do not frequently display specific traits such as these mentioned above.  The desires of spirits don't often
seem to include personal taste, or such simply human activities.

Our discoveries of the “veil ray” and the elemental entity point out that we, those of the physical plane, are dealing not just with the spirits of
those who have passed, but ancient earth energies. Outside of some psychics, these types of wonders are only marginally discernible; the “veil
ray” phenomenon in particular is quite difficult to demonstrate or show to people.  They are a mystery of the natural world for now, but perhaps a
future investigative team can explain these phenomena.

We have found that when a location has a labyrinthine layout, with many interconnecting doors and hallways (such as with Sew ‘n Sew), the
likelihood of paranormal activity is increased. We haven't found any definitive reasons why activity is more common in this style of structure.  One
possible explanation, though, is that labyrinths have long been considered spiritual structures, or sacred geometries.  These shapes are said to
easily channel etheric energies along their spirals, interconnections and maze-like pathways, making it easier for spirits and other energies to
enter and remain at a site.

Due to the amount of activity and the many unusual types of phenomena present at this location, Sew ‘n’ Sew continues to be one of TVI’s
favorite places to investigate.
