On Genoa Lane, next to the Pink House, sits a home built in 1858. The house is nestled in between oak, pine and fruit
trees, sprays of beautiful flowers and bushes, at the bottom of a Sierra Mountain slope. It is rich in history and has
recently been remolded into a lovely Bed & Breakfast now called the White House. Elegance, comfort and peace are
offered in a relaxed and homey atmosphere.
Some of our finds:
A Paranormal Investigation at the White House:
The owner of this establishment was looking for a ghost hunting team to investigate her building as much paranormal activity was occurring. Thin
Veil Investigators fit the bill.
On our initial investigation we discovered many spirits who reside inside and around the house. Basements seem like home to many spirits, and
this cellar was no exception. We felt different energies in this small room and our video cameras corroborated our feelings, especially the spirits
by the wine racks.
A very strong presence is that of the B & B owner’s mother. “Mom” is a feisty spirit that taps guests’ heads who visit the bedroom. As I was asking
the spirit if this was indeed the owner’s mother an EVP was recorded on my digital device of “get out.” Mom also flutters the curtains and usually
moans most of the night. If you stay in this bedroom be sure to bring ear plugs!
We discovered the spirits of children playing in the outbuildings as this is where yard toys and games are kept. Interestingly, there is an old
school desk – with bench attached by wrought iron fixtures – in one shed. When I first poked my head into this shack a young boy was sitting at
the desk drawing on paper.
A fascinating place was the barn. Its top section has a hayloft, complete with a swing out door in one wall where hay was tossed down into
wagons. Upon investigating this building we encountered the spirits of three small boys having a great time jumping out the door into an invisible
cart of grasses. The impressive thing about this vision was the lads didn’t have to climb the stairs to once again jump into the fodder…they just
‘floated’ to the loft and jumped out the door, over and over.
The back yard was the most impressive part of the investigation. It was Grand Central Station in regards to spirits. We wondered if this section of
land was once a main thoroughfare as it felt like at one time a well-traveled road. Our feelings were supported by the numerous spirits we
captured on film. A surprisingly large amount of orbs were caught on all pictures taken in the back yard this night. But the most remarkable
capture of spirits was taken on the video cameras. The footage was like watching slow falling snow and fast moving fog. The high-tech video
cameras that we set outside were on record mode for well over three hours. And the tape revealed continuous energies, never letting up the
stream of momentum. This film is truly awe inspiring!
To conclude this story, paranormal documentation was additionally sought after by the owner of this Bed & Breakfast so she could boast in the
brochure that this is indeed a haunted establishment. By the film, footage and EVP captured on our investigation the owner was then able to
fashion the writings on the pamphlet to now state “…being an actual haunted house. But don’t worry, they are friendly.”
